“The Little Doopa” is what our Nurse-Midwife named the baby yesterday. It’s cute. We think it will stick for now.
It’s been a while since our last update, but not really much has happened. Julianna had a cold last week that wasn’t too fun for her, but she seems to be doing well this week. Truthfully, we are pretty lucky that the symptoms haven’t really been as bad as everyone seems to let on about being pregnant.
The doctor’s appointment yesterday was the end of the first trimester. That’s right, we are at twelve weeks! We weren’t supposed to have a sonogram done, but since the Nurse-Midwife couldn’t hear a heartbeat with the fetal doppler (supposedly, the existence of lotion causes the doppler to get a lot of static interference), she decided to take us in for the sonogram anyway.

It’s pretty amazing how much detail there already is a twelve weeks, isn’t it?
I even got a little video clip of the whole experience (listen to what our Nurse-Midwife says).

Our next appointment is in a month!

Glad to see the little doopa is doing fine, and so is Julianna.

Ya know, that in my country “doopa” or “dupa” means “ass”? Hihihi
